ABOUT ME

JESSICA J BURKE

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist and certified personality disorder treatment provider, by Evergreen Certifications. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in psychology and minoring in fine arts. I graduated from Sioux Falls Seminary with a Master of Art in Counseling.

My areas of expertise include grief counseling and child/infant loss, pre- and post-partum difficulties, addiction and chemical dependency, trauma disorders and complex trauma, attachment and behavioral disorders, depression, anxiety, anger and I have an great passion for working with personality disorders (specifically borderline, histrionic, narcissistic, and antisocial). I have experience with ages 5 to 60 and working with many different kinds of unique individuals. I also have experience working with other clinicians and health/medical care professionals.

I am trained in brainspotting and  regularly use cognitive therapy, relational psychoanalytics, Bowenian systems theory, narrative therapy, and eco or nature-based therapy. Mindfulness, meditation, and transformation are key components of my treatment process.  I provide counseling services online for individuals anywhere in Minnesota and face-to-face in Pipestone, Minnesota.
